Philosophy

Formal Design is an iterative process that underscores the significance of comprehending the problem thoroughly before devising solutions. As an adherent to the principle of “form follows function,” I believe that effective design solutions encompass simplicity, intuitiveness, and an understanding of their cultural context. Aesthetics should reflect brand identity, market vernacular, and prevailing trends. The ultimate objective of design should be to make a positive impact by elevating the user experience.

My Process

I approach design with an unwavering commitment to curiosity and empathy, adhering to a rigorous process that encompasses discovery, design, testing, and launch. Each phase has distinct deliverables, ensuring a constructive and progressive trajectory for the project. Discovery serves as a fundamental pillar of this process, encompassing market research, stakeholder engagement, project scope definition, and collaborative efforts between the executive team and design professionals. The design phase involves ideation, detailed prototyping, and production readiness activities. Testing provides invaluable feedback, determining whether a product should undergo further refinement or proceed to the launch phase. Launching initiates a cascade of events across the organization, triggering production efforts and paving the way for market entry.

My Next Stop Looking for the next challenge

Seeking professional opportunities within design firms, creative agencies, or manufacturing organizations, with a focus on the creation and development of innovative spaces, products, and experiences. The ideal role would involve collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams, aimed at delivering high-quality real-world products on schedule and within budgetary constraints. Collaboration with key stakeholders, access to decision-makers, and engagement with end users are paramount. Adaptive and transferable skills in design and management, coupled with my knowledge of construction trades and manufacturing processes, would be an asset to any organization seeking results-oriented, accountable, and highly competent individuals. My expertise encompasses industrial design, transportation design, kitchen and bath design, exhibit work, casework, and product manufacturing. I am confident in my ability to excel as a valued contributor to your organization.
